Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga. In yin yoga we focus on floor-based poses for longer periods of time, typically 3–5 minutes. This gentle pacing allows your muscles to soften so the postures can reach the fascia, ligaments, joints, and energetic pathways.

An important part of Yin is there is no pushing or striving. Instead, you’re guided into a space of stillness where you can listen inwardly, notice subtle sensations, and allow your nervous system to unwind. The practice supports emotional regulation, inner awareness, and the release of long-held tension—making it a powerful complement to more active (yang) forms of movement and to therapeutic work.

Grounded in principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and mindful awareness, Yin Yoga helps restore balance, enhance flexibility, and cultivate a deeper relationship with your inner landscape. It is suitable for all levels, including complete beginners, and can be adapted to fit every body.

Meditation

Meditation is a guided practice of returning to presence—gently shifting your attention from the noise of daily life into our inner world. Meditation invites you to notice what is already here: your breath, your body, your emotions, your thoughts, and the subtle movements of your inner world.

In this practice, you learn to relate to yourself with curiosity instead of judgement. By slowing down, you create the space to recognise patterns, soften tension in the nervous system, and access a deeper sense of clarity and calm.

My approach to meditation integrates mindful awareness with principles drawn from psychology and embodied practices. It is a perfect compliment to the yin practice in bringing gentle internal awareness.

Meditation is accessible to all levels, including complete beginners.

About Me

My name is Fiona, I’m a Clinical Psychologist, Yin Yoga and Meditation Teacher. This space is for my yoga and meditation offerings.

I hold online classes guiding people in the practice of yin yoga and meditation to re-connect with their inner world.

My journey with yoga has been years in the making. And I came to yin yoga following the birth of my son and my entry into motherhood in 2019. This practice allowed me to reconnect with my body, to slow, to notice my inter world. I followed my Yin yoga training in 2023 with meditation training which further guided me inwards.

I offer this practice as a way to guide people to reconnect with their own internal world, their bodies, their minds.

Check out my bookings page to book into a class or contact me if you have any questions.
